Admissions

The Inpatient Program at Talas Harbor at Bullhead City is suitable for adults and seniors with emotional, cognitive, or behavioral symptoms.  These may include, mood disturbances, anxiety, difficulty coping with losses and transitions, or behavioral conditions that interfere with care at home or in a long-term care setting. Additionally, our medical admissions staff looks for the following factors: 

• Threatening to or behaving in a manner considered dangerous to self or others.
• The continued destruction of property.
• Unable to function socially, educationally or in the family environment.
• Pre-existing psychiatric conditions that inhibit his/her ability to maintain safety in the community.
• No significant progress with outpatient treatment and the patient requires medication evaluation, special services or continuous skilled observation.
• Continued failure to be successful in a less restrictive environment.

Currently our admissions are referrals from hospitals, behavioral health clinics and assisted living or hospice care organizations. They are assessed by our staff only after a medical exam has been conducted prior to their transfer to our facility.
